I’m New

Welcome. We’re glad you’re here.

We look like a traditional church and act like a traditional church but with a twist (or two). Wondering if your shorts and sandals are okay? Asking yourself if people will ignore you or welcome you? The people of this church are not perfect, but are committed to walk the talk, the gospel of Jesus, so that everyone may “have life, and have it abundantly.”

Whether you’re in suit or sandals, you are invited to spend an hour (or more) at this church next Sunday, and discover what Camarillo UMC is all about.

Sanctuary Services

Every week we gather in dynamic, creative worship featuring inspiring music from multiple choirs and guest musicians, plus sound teaching and preaching focused on living faithfully in the real world.

Ministries, Missions & Fellowship

In small group studies and classes (including on-line and off-site) and special events, we nurture discipleship for all ages, seeking to better understand and practice the ‘Wesleyan way’ of the Christian story.

Worship, fellowship and discipleship work together to send us into mission locally and globally to ‘transform the world’. Mission means direct hands-on work through Sierra Service Project and similar, missions trips; advocacy for justice issues; and developing resources to share through the U.M. connection to meet needs around the world.

Welcoming people into the community of faith, we connect and support one another in fellowship through Family ministries, the Youth Fellowship group, and adult groups such as Mingles and Tri-Ms.

Open to Everyone

We believe that Jesus’ invitation to “Come, follow me” is offered to all. Everyone and anyone who wants to follow on the path of grace, compassion and justice is welcome at CUMC, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, faith tradition, race, ethnicity, physical limitations, or economic status; all means all.
